Perfect?

Looking in the mirror what do we say to ourselves? Do we say that we are ugly and need to lose weight or do we say we pretty and fine the way we are?

Society makes you think that being a certain way or "perfect" is the way to go such as being thin and having a great body. In magazines we constantly see models and celebrities on a cover of a magazine with a flawless picture.

Rarely do we see pictures of celebrities and models being shown without flaw unless being made fun of. But in reality, no one is perfect. We all have flaws even celebrities, and the president of the United States, President Barack Obama, but yet showing flaws in this society is hidden.

As a result, causing many people to cover up a scar or something physical that sets them apart from others. For example people using make up to cover up a zit or pimple. Nobody has perfect skin at all so why cover up imperfects when they make a person who they are?

. Some people become anorexic or develop other eating disorders because they feel they are too fat for the standards society has put into place. In addition, some people become depression because when they look in the mirror they feel they don't' have that beautiful face and body like a super model.

Society has clouded our minds making us feel that if we have to look a certain way to be accepted. Like celebrities have to look good and are like Gods, but really they are just well known people. They still make mistakes like you and me and have insecurities as well.

So why is society so afraid to get let flaw come out? Why does society make people seem perfect when in reality they aren't? I believe that society is afraid of rebellion and the only way they can try to prevent that is by making sure most people feel like they have to be a certain way to be accepted.
